There have been thousands of cases where people are pushing there bodies to limits the body can barely handle, all to just lose a few pounds. For you to lose weight you must be in some sort of a caloric deficit in order to burn more calories than you're consuming, but what happens when that caloric deficit is extreme and has been abused for months to even years? What someone is willing to do just to be happy with their body is majority of the time, life threatening and we don't even realize it. Guest Speaker, Marcela Oliveira, is on the show today to explain just how important it is to prioritize your health before anything else. Marcela is a former professional volleyball player that played in Brazil and traveled to play in the US including some US territory places such as Puerto Rico. She then went off to become a coach for some colleges, then fell in love with bodybuilding, and this is when health really began to paint it's own picture. Marcela Dieted so hard that she didn't have her cycle for about 2 years. Now how insane is that? Imagine not feeding your body enough to simply maintain and sustain health longevity. After her last show she got real sick because of how hard she was pushing her body in a unhealthy way, and after that, she never took her health for granite again.
