Positive vs negative goal setting

Mind to body connection is vital to progress towards the goals you have for your body, health, mind, and life. When I began my fitness journey when I was 13 years old, I started with a negative state of mind. I wanted to fix my body because of how much I hated how I looked and felt. This state of mind never got me to a sense of fulfillment with the progress I was achieving. Instead of focusing on fixing my body, I should of focused on improving the body I already have. 

 

This exact thing happens to thousands to hundreds of thousands of people a day. I have had more clients come to me asking me to help them lose 15lbs, gain some muscle definition, or get a 6 pack. Yes, these things are awesome to have and having goals are great, but these things are so superficial. These things won't create fulfillment and happiness. Goals that should be set are goals that make us better as humans, people, leaders, examples for our kids, ect. A simple change in point of view will drastically transform your drive and vision for what you want.
