Earlier this week, we told you about the Disinformation Governance Board. It\\u2019s a new group within the Department of Homeland Security. Officials say it will fight the spread of misleading or false information that could have real-life consequences, especially when it comes from the Russian government or human smugglers.\\xa0

But there\\u2019s not a lot of information yet about how it will work. Some even worry it will turn into something like the fictional \\u201cMinistry of Truth\\u201d that pushed state-sponsored propaganda in the novel \\u201c1984.\\u201d
