Pediatric Sleep Consultant, high school guidance counselor, and SP Mom, Nikki Smith shares her story and about the birth of her two sons. She talks about an induction, epidural and the fairly uncomplicated birth of her first son followed by struggles with breastfeeding and spending a year pumping to feed him. She then goes on to share about a very different birth and postpartum experience for her second son, including her struggles with her baby’s sleep, postpartum depression and anxiety. Nikki is an incredibly kind and compassionate woman and professional. It was an honor to hear more about how she was able to recover and eventually discover a new calling for herself.
