On this week\'s episode of the podcast, I host a solo episode where I talk about the concepts of essentialism, how societal categories have been utilized to force specific definitions onto humanity, what it means to have personal power, and what it means to belong instead of fit in. I also apply this framework to the dance community as well as my own personal life experiences. A little bit of background about me: I am an Asian American woman with a B.S. in psychology and I love to dance. I am a curious person with many questions about life, which is why I decided to start a podcast where I can share and exchange ideas with others.

For each episode this season, I want to raise awareness + donate to activism organizations that contribute to a cause that these speakers are passionate about. This portion is dedicated to San Diegans For Justice, which is a grassroots organization working towards accountability and transparency in law enforcement.
