Today, I have a conversation with Carlo Darang, someone that I really look up to and has had a huge impact on my life. He is a dancer and choreographer based out of San Diego, CA. He currently dances with Kinjaz, and directs Choreo Cookies and Gwownups. He also helps direct the studio at Studio FX. His work revolves around choreography and education. We talk about the importance of dance education, the essence of grooving, and the difference between acting and being.

For each episode this season, I wanted to raise awareness and donate to an activism org/movement that these speakers are passionate about. This portion is dedicated to AAPI Women Lead and #ImReady Movement, which aims to strengthen the progressive political and social platforms of Asian and Pacific Islander communities in the US through leadership. You can find more about them at imreadymovement.org
