How to Plan a Daily Yoga Practice Today we are going to talk about how to plan a daily yoga practice. Barb’s question: I would like to start doing a daily yoga practice. I would like to do Hatha some days, Yin other days etc. I have done some of the courses like the daily hatha yoga, yoga for strength and monthly themes. Wondering if you have any curated lists on the membership site of various episodes for a general continuing daily practice ? I am a bit overwhelmed trying to devise a balanced daily practice for myself that includes some hatha and yin videos and hoping there might be some curated lists on the site that I could use to create a schedule for myself. Is there a series that has both of these styles or a Hatha series and a Yin series that you recommend I combine? Every single day of the year in our community we put together a daily yoga connection. It follows our theme of the quarter, which gets further broken down by month and week. The intention is exactly as you describe, to take away the overwhelm of choice by providing a weekly reflection and 7 curated classes each week. The classes are balanced and include a variety of yin yoga, hatha yoga, and meditation classes. If you are not a member, I would recommend choosing a series on the Yoga with Melissa channel. The series tends to be well balanced with a combination of yin yoga, qigong flows, restorative yoga, hatha yoga and yoga nidra meditations. So if you went through a series in a week you would get a balance of classes. On YouTube a series is organized into playlists. I have tagged our 30 day beginner yoga challenge in this video for example, however we have lots of series to choose from in our community. This autumn, I am so happy to be sharing our Clean Home Clean Heart/Mind series for example. Give this video a thumbs up and put, I am balanced in the comments.
