Blogcast 5: Google, Gdrive, and Platypus: Infinite Storage, Bandwidth, and CPU Power [17:54]

b'Since the launch of Gmail and the (at the time) unheard of storage space of 2\\n gigabytes, a number of developers have created tools to allow users to use\\n their Gmail accounts for file storage.\\xa0 Examples include the\\n GMail\\n Drive shell extension, an add-on for the Firefox browser -\\n Gmail\\n Space, and even an\\n equivalent\\n for Mac OS X.\\xa0 Each of these add-ons/applications allows users to\\n seamlessly email files to their Gmail accounts, while appearing to the native\\n OS as another drive. Likewise, there\'s been a lot of buzz about Google\'s\\n launch of\\n Google\\n Spreadsheets , and their acquistion and integration of Upstartle and their\\n online wordprocessor\\n Writely. In this blogcast we discuss some of these online tools.
