The Way, Part One

Jesus said to him,\\xa0\\u201cI am\\xa0the way, and\\xa0the truth, and\\xa0the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6 (ESV)

My soul clings to the dust; give me life\\xa0according to your word! When\\xa0I told of my ways, you answered me; teach me your statutes! Make me understand the way of your precepts, and I will\\xa0meditate on your wondrous works. My soul melts away for sorrow; strengthen me according to your word! Put false ways far from me and graciously\\xa0teach me your law!

1. Accept a better reality

I have chosen the way of faithfulness; I\\xa0set your rules before me. I cling to your testimonies, O\\xa0Lord;\\xa0let me not be put to shame! I will run in the way of your commandments when you\\xa0enlarge my heart!

2. Choose to travel

Teach me, O\\xa0Lord, the way of your statutes; and I will keep it\\xa0to the end. Give me understanding, that I may keep your law and observe it with my whole heart. Lead me in the path of your commandments, for I\\xa0delight in it.

3. Trust the Way

Incline my heart to your testimonies, and not to\\xa0selfish gain! Turn my eyes from looking at worthless things; and\\xa0give me life in your ways. Psalm 119:25-37 (ESV)
