“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. Isaiah 43:18-19 (NIV)

God doesn’t just want to do a new thing some day… He is doing a new thing today!

…I am the Lord. I will free you from your oppression and will rescue you from your slavery in Egypt. I will redeem you with a powerful arm and great acts of judgment. I will claim you as my own people, and I will be your God. Then you will know that I am the Lord your God who has freed you from your oppression in Egypt. I will bring you into the land I swore to give… Exodus 6:6-8 (NLT)

A season of new LIFE

Behold, I am making all things new… Revelation 21:5 (ESV)

Life OUR way will never compare to life GOD’S way.

But that’s no life for you. You learned Christ! My assumption is that you have paid careful attention to him, been well instructed in the truth precisely as we have it in Jesus. Ephesians 4:22-24 (MSG)

Since, then, we do not have the excuse of ignorance, everything—and I do mean everything—connected with that old way of life has to go. It’s rotten through and through. Get rid of it! Ephesians 4:22-24 (MSG)

And then take on an entirely new way of life—a God-fashioned life, a life renewed from the inside and working itself into your conduct as God accurately reproduces his character in you. Ephesians 4:22-24 (MSG)

A season of new IDENTITY

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV)

Religion is us trying to get prove love to God… Christianity is God trying to prove His love to us.

For HE CHOSE US…in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blamelessin his sight. In lovehepredestinedus for adoption to sonshipthrough Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will…Ephesians 1:4-5 (NIV)

In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the richesof God’s gracethat he lavished on us… Ephesians 1:7-8 (NIV)

A season of new PURPOSE

God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. Ephesians 2:8-9 (NLT)

For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. Ephesians 2:10 (NLT)

The position you play is important to the success of the whole team.

Don’t you realize that in a race everyone runs, but only one person gets the prize? So run to win! 1 Corinthians 9:24 (NLT)

All athletes are disciplined in their training. They do it to win a prize that will fade away, but we do it for an eternal prize. 1 Corinthians 9:25 (NLT)

So I run with purpose in every step. I am not just shadowboxing. 1 Corinthians 9:26 (NLT)

A season of new OPPORTUNITY

And we know that God causes everything to work togetherfor the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. Romans 8:28 (NLT)

"I talked to him about where he wanted to go in the future, That\'s one of the things my dad always used to say to me when he was alive. \'Don\'t worry about where you are so much. What are you going to do to make it better?\' And that\'s what I kept asking Mike. \'Where are you going to go from here?” – Tony Dungy

So how do we truly step into the NEW season God has for us?

1. Leave the past behind.

“There is no middle ground here; we are embracing our past or embracing our future. We can’t do both at the same time.” – Pastor Brady Boyd

2. Check your attitude.

How we leave one season will determine how we enter the next.

3. Trust the process.

And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns. Philippians 1:6 (NLT)

There is no prerequisite for salvation, but there is a process to Christianity.
