(Acts 4:31) After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.

Title of message: Bold Speaking

We speak boldly about what we believe deeply.

(Acts 9:28) So Saul stayed with them and moved about freely in Jerusalem, speaking boldly in the name of the Lord.

(Acts 14:3) So Paul and Barnabas spent considerable time there, speaking boldly for the Lord,

(Acts 14:16) “What are we going to do with these men?” they asked. “Everyone living in Jerusalem knows they have performed a notable sign, and we cannot deny it.

(Acts 14:17) But to stop this thing from spreading any further among the people, we must warn them to speak no longer to anyone in this name.

(Acts 14:18) Then they called them in again and commanded them not to speak or teach at all in the name of Jesus.

(Acts 14:19) (NLT) But Peter and John replied, “Do you think God wants us to obey you rather than him?

(Acts 14:20) For we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard.”

(Acts 14:20) For we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard.”

I cannot help speaking:

1. The truth to myself.

(1 Samuel 30:6) And David was greatly distressed;… but David encouraged himself in the Lord his God.

2. Encouragement to someone else.

(Hebrews 3:13) But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called Today,

3. Correction motivated by love.

(Ephesians 4:15) Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church.

4. About the things that will lead people to Christ.

(1 Corinthians 2:1-2) Friends, when I came and told you the mystery that God had shared with us, I didn’t use big words or try to sound wise. In fact, while I was with you, I made up my mind to speak only about Jesus Christ, who had been nailed to a cross.

(1 Corinthians 2:3-5) At first, I was weak and trembling with fear. When I talked with you or preached, I didn’t try to prove anything by sounding wise. I simply let God’s Spirit show his power. That way you would have faith because of God’s power and not because of human wisdom.
