oday we have Hilary Koum on the show today! She is a Cameroonian Canadian woman. A western alum and current masters student at LSE. She is also currently completing a research project on white supremacy and white domestic terrorists. We dive into the "Strong Black Woman" trope, why it is harmful, and pop cultural representations of Black women/girls. I learned so much talking to Hilary and I am so happy we were able to allow our conversation to develop beyond the topic!
