She wondered how many were genetic. Initially, she had cut out processed food. Then, she found Vinnie on the Carolla Show. When she finally cut out most carbs, she found out not only did she lose some weight, but she felt way healthier too. She had more energy, and didn't feel as old as her similarly-aged peers. One of the issues she worried about that her father also had was her loss of hearing. However, 3-4 months in, she noticed she didn't need it. Maybe it was because of this way of eating, maybe it wasn't, but it's surely a good thing! Leona consulted with Vinnie because she finally felt well enough to train for a Spartan Race.
