My Thoughts Monday #26-Jay DeMayo, University of Richmond- Can Your Plan B Be Your Plan A?

Published: April 16, 2018, 8 a.m.

“Do you have these secondary and tertiary plans set if you’re not in a specific situation where it can be successful, it can be safe, it’s what the game demands for that student athlete at that present moment. Are those measures being taken care of prior so that you’re not scrambling and losing your mind, or losing a session because you don’t have Plan B prepared?”

This My Thoughts Monday is brought to you by GymAware, the leading tool to measure your athlete’s weight room performance. Learn more about “The Rolls Royce” of bar velocity monitoring here: https://kinetic.com.au/gymaware.html

Today I share with you guys some discussions that we have had in our office about making sure we are prepared for curveballs being thrown and coming out on top. The three examples that I discuss are:
Failure
Safety/Weather
Resources

I give specific examples of how we are looking at how we are preparing ourselves incase we need to move to “Plan B”, and how we are hoping this can help move things forward in the same direction we were hoping to move with our Pefect/Dream Plans as “Plan A.”
