Today we are joined by Sean Light to discuss the role of the neurology in the development of the athlete. After a quick run down of how he got to where he is today Sean shares with us some of the disconnects between what people believe and the realities of high level athletics. We then discuss how a better understanding of neurology can help improve carry over from training to the competitive exercise, and how changing our mindset from just the strength and conditioning title to sport performance can improve on field performance. Next, he discusses the difference between this and sport psychology and why that delineation is important. We finish off discussing a few areas we may be missing the boat on in sport performance, and some simple changes we can make to be a bit better for our athletes. Make sure you check out his workshops at www.4AHPS.com and give him a follow on IG @slight20.
