Tony Stewart joins us to discuss how he handles the preparation of his athletes in this weeks edition of The Podcast. After a brief break down of his background Tony dives into the strength and conditioning world at the high school level. This includes how Tony handles the different levels of physical maturity of these athletes, and how their developmental and training ages impact their programing. Tony then touches upon the role of specificity and how that fits in with how he builds relationships with coaches. He then shares with us how he looks at his athletes and how he progresses all 800 of them through the program. We finish off talking about how he looks at range of motion and depth, how he looks to his athletes for input, and where he see’s his program going forward.
