Self-care is looking after your mental and physical health. How can you make the most of the time you set aside for self-care?
\\nRecently I attended a clay workshop - which ticked not just the connection box, but other self-care boxes. The following are some of the boxes it ticked.
\\nConnection ticks
\\n1. I met new people - connecting with peers
\\n2. I met I knew from online and had never met before - strengthening online connections
\\n3. I worked with clay - connecting with nature.
\\n4. strengthened my connection with my profession - as it was a professional workshop
\\nCognitive mental health ticks
\\n1. I learnt something new
\\n2. I stepped out of my comfort zone in terms of driving to a different location and cohosting a new workshop
\\nMeaning mental health tick
\\n1. Being involved in an activity that helped bring people together
\\nPhysical mental health tick
\\n1. Using my body (through the medium of clay) to relax
