b'Physical health can be relatively easy to address because issues like cuts, sprains or broken bones are easy to identify in order to start the healing process. Mental health, however, is a different story and because emotional trauma does not express itself the same way as physical trauma it can be a challenge to address in a timely manner.\\nProfessional athletes and members of the military are often young, fit, healthy and possess an extreme drive to succeed at the highest levels of human performance which means it can be a challenge to admit vulnerability, let alone discuss when life might become emotionally overwhelming. Both retired combat veterans and retired professional athletes deal with similar issues - how to stay focused and continue to move forward when your mission in life changes drastically and there is a real risk of suicide among both populations. Jay Glazer is a professional reporter who covers the NFL for Fox; he is also a retired martial arts competitor who started the Unbreakable studio to help high performing individuals to train for success. Jay also started Merging Vets and Players (MVP), a program that holds conditioning workouts that double as support groups for both retired soldiers and athletes so these individuals can support one another in an effort to achieve optimal mental as well as physical health.\\nOn this episode of All About Fitness, Jay talks about his experience in martial arts, how he leveraged that to start Unbreakable and discusses the impact that the MVP Program is having on helping veterans and retired athletes address their mental health.\\n\\n\\nWatch Lane Johnson from the Philadelphia Eagles discuss how he has learned how to care for his mental health (This is not the interview with Jay Glazer - that was NOT licensed for YouTube, this segment is)\\nhttps://youtu.be/DUVEu136vn0\\n\\nOn this video Jay and the NFL on Fox team talk about how they care for their mental health\\nhttps://youtu.be/8QYUIW25bEY\\n\\nLearn more about the Merging Vets and Players (MVP) Program:\\nhttps://vetsandplayers.org/\\n\\nLearn more about Unbreakable Supplements - proceeds go to the MVP Program\\nhttps://www.gnc.com/unbreakable/\\n\\nhttps://petemccallfitness.com\\n\\nOrder a copy of Ageless Intensity: High Intensity Workouts to Slow the Aging Process:\\xa0\\nhttps://amzn.to/3mH3HNf\\n\\nOrder a copy of Smarter Workouts: The Science of Exercise Made Simple\\nhttps://amzn.to/3fub1Yl\\n(both of the links above are affiliate links, a commission will be earned with purchase)\\xa0\\n\\n\\n\\nGet relief from sore muscles and promote recovery after hard workouts; order the NIMBL XLR8 massage gun - use code AAF20 to save 20%\\xa0https://joinnimbl.com/products/xlr8\\n\\nFunctional Core Training e-book\\nThis e-book explains how the muscles of your core work as a single unit and identifies the most effective exercises for making them stronger.\\nhttps://amzn.to/3VL3EOp\\n\\nDynamic Anatomy\\nThis e-book explains the difference between muscle and fascia, describes how different muscles function together to produce movement and identifies the most effective exercises for popular muscles like the hamstrings, shoulders and, of course, the glutes.\\xa0\\nhttps://amzn.to/3XUZK7s\\n\\n\\nExercise for the Fountain of Youth\\nThis e-book explains the role that exercise plays in reversing many of the effects of the aging process and provides a simple, easy-to-follow workout program that can help you to use exercise to extend your lifespan.
