Surah 20 Taha verses 57-64, Session 10 Here the narrative of Musa (AS) contains an ellipsis, thus refer to Surah Al A'raf verses 104-114. The beautiful wisdom of Musa's (AS) miracles of an enormous serpent and illuminous palm was used to challenge the Egyptian mythology of Ra and Apophis. The challenge with fir'oun is set on the day of Aashura due to his refusal of the miracles. Fir'oun withdraws and devised his plot. Inviting thousands of magicians to challenge Musa (AS). The Prophet of Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى forges fear in the hearts of the magicians on the day, thus dividing their counsel. However they unite in fear of leaving their so called 'exemplary way'.
