Alee ibn Abu Talib (ra) session 188. "Oh Uthmaan, when Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى gives you the baton of leadership, do not let it go when the hypocrites pressure you to do so." (Tirmidi) The rebels siege the khalif's dwelling to overthrow his leadership despite his innocence. Uthmaan (ra) tells the people about his closeness to Rasulullah ﷺ to highlight the ignorance of the rebels. The outrageous rebel leaders give verbal and physical abuse to the khalif.
