b'Rav Akiva Atlas Shlita ,a long standing member of the Telshe Kollel in Chicago, who spent close to two decades learning personally with Rav Chaim Dov Keller Zt"l,presents a Talmud muvhak\'s moving hesped of this extraordinary Rabbinic leader who passed away on the 27th of Av.Rabbi Atlas serves as the prime editor for the Niftar\'s acclaimed work on Chumash,Sefer Chidekel,and is a popular Maggid Shiur for the elite students of the school that Rav Keller helped establish,Telshe Yeshiva in Chicago.In ways that only a close student can,Rabbi Atlas presents a portrait of his Rebbe as the quintessential Ish Emes who had a refreshing realistic expectation of what a multi-faceted frum society should be like.Rav Keller served the Agudah as the premier spokesman for the tenets of Torah-True Judaism in the face of the threat of assimilation and from those he felt were intent on creating a Judaism riddled with inconsistencies and bereft of Yiraas Shamayim.Rav Chaim Dov Keller was born in 1930 in New York City and attended Yeshiva Rabeinu Yitzchak Elchanan (RIETS).Through the influence of Rav Dovid Lipschutz Zt\'l and others, Rav Keller joined Telshe Cleveland and became a closetalmidof Rav Elya Meir Bloch.In 1961, Rav Keller came to Chicago and over many decades, taught Torah to thousands oftalmidim, who venerated him for his brilliance and authenticity.Rav Keller was known for his forceful and eloquent defense of "Real Yiddishkeit", and delivered what was considered the unadulterateddaas - in powerful speeches and articulate writing.He was a prominent member of theNesiusof Agudas Yisrael of America.Rav Keller\\u2019s last address was given in Telshe Yeshiva on Purim of this year, and shortly after he was stricken with COVID-19.
