Before & After Baptism
b'
This Sunday we'll share the sacrament of baptism the child of one of our church families. And even as we share that joy, given the terrible events in Washington, D.C. this week, we'll talk about what it means to live out our baptismal promises to them and all the children of God. After all, "resisting oppression and evil, manifesting justice, peace, and compassion, and witnessing to the transforming power of the Holy Spirit" as those baptismal vows say isn't a once in a lifetime photo op. It's a lifelong commitment. (Mark 1:1-11)
