#44 - Obtaining Trust with Ngoc Thach

Published: July 31, 2019, 11 a.m.

In this episode, I have the opportunity to interview one of my role models, Ngoc Thach. She is currently the Director of Public Relations in the hospitality industry and has a passion for journalism and public service. In our conversation, we speak on several topics including growing up Vietnamese in South Dakota, our names, our family relationships, and more. One thing that I've learned from Ngoc is that many people may relate to my story regardless of their upbringing and heritage. With this new perspective, I've been rethinking about how I communicate with the people in my life and what are the intentional ways I can earn someone's trust. Up to this point in my life, I never considered "trust" as something that I've valued from others. However, Ngoc simply reminded me of that when you gain someone's trust, you have a feeling of acceptance...and acceptance has been something that I've always strived for. Ngoc always wanted to be the pink Power Ranger and she is a badass. I'm so happy to call her family. For more information, please check out worksleeve.com.
