Believers have a powerful spiritual weapon to counter difficult circumstances - THANKFULNESS! Several examples in the Bible show us the power of thankfulness to literally change earthly circumstances. We see this principle in Acts 16:25, Paul and Silas are giving thanks to God while imprisoned after being falsely accused and beaten. God sent an earthquake that destroyed the prison and loosed the chains that bound them. Not only were they freed physically but their evangelistic mission "took off" with the conversion and baptism of the jailer and his family. This miraculous turn of events was initiated by Paul and Silas's determination to "give thanks in every circumstance" (I Thess. 5:18).\\xa0
