There is a popular children's tune, “this little light of mine, I’m going to let it shine.” It is likely you have heard it. This sweet song holds much truth and power. In scripture, Jesus tells us to not hide the light inside of us, but to illuminate it in this dark world. Today, we will continue our message series Thy Kingdom Come, journeying through the gospel of Mark. We will see how Jesus’ reign advances through his shared word. As followers of Christ, we have been commissioned to spread the gospel, to advance the kingdom of God. This task can seem nerve-racking to some or feel awkward at times, but as we walk alongside Christ our confidence and courage will grow. We will see how our light shines and grows by learning how deeper leads to greater, faithful leads to fruitful, and small leads to expansive.
