The Jewish religious leaders responded to Jesus cleansing the temple by questioning his authority. They did not believe that Jesus had the authority to do what he did that day in the temple. Jesus answered their question about his authority with a question of his own. His response teaches us about the authority of Jesus Christ and the folly of playing games with the Lord.
