In this passage we are told of a man who brought his tormented son to Jesus to be healed. Jesus healed the man's son, gave him back to his father and all who witnessed this miracle were astonished at the majesty of God. There is much for us to gain from this astonishing miracle. It is another display of Jesus' great compassion and power. It serves as a reminder that the great task of Christian parents is to seek to bring their children to Jesus. Finally, it exhorts all who follow Christ to not be afraid of God's plans.
