This week\\u2019s passage contains one of Jesus\\u2019 most well-known parables, the parable of the good Samaritan. Jesus will use this parable to do far more than answer a lawyer\\u2019s question about who his neighbor is or to help him understand what it means to be a \\u201cgood\\u201d neighbor. Jesus will use this parable to expose the man\\u2019s sinful self-justifying heart and show him (and us) our great need for God\\u2019s mercy.
