After dramatically healing a crippled man in Lystra, Jews came down from Antioch and Iconium and incited the crowds to turn against Paul. They stoned him and, thinking he was dead, dragged him out of the city. Though he had been severely hurt, Paul was not discouraged and boldly returned to the very cities that had opposed him to encourage the faithful. Finishing their journey, and despite the persecution, they rejoiced in all that God had done.
