While in Bolivia, Ruthie was given the task of running a medical clinic. Despite her lack of medical training, she successfully treated thousands of patients with God\\u2019s help, and the use of some medical encyclopedias she received. Nothing could have prepared her for all the ailments she treated, the people she met, the dangers she faced, and the life she would live in the jungle.
