Dorothy Kolb has a long list of accomplishments in her 20 year + career in both consulting and broadcast media, but all of those accolades did not prevent her from facing a crisis.  After a long marriage, she found herself a single mom of four boys, unemployed and nothing bills and a household to feed.  She did whatever it took to keep a roof over their heads and food on the table, but the work was not glamorous.  In order to continue to be present for her boys, she took contract work as a bookkeeper, something she had not done since early in her career.  As clients found out about her other skills, they expanded their need for her services.  Through this, her business was born.  DK East Associates is a firm that specializes in supporting  female owned small business as a Fractional CFO, so Dorothy's clients can free up her clients to do what they do best.  Her business, born out of necessity to survive, is now in the business of helping other women thrive with their businesses.
