My goals this year are to prioritize my mental health and to check myself when I start to burden my mind with negative self talk. As we all know, this is easier said than done. I have said this a million times, but we have to show up for ourselves before we can show up for others. This is the first of a series of episodes I am going to do where I share updates on my self-care regimen. Recording these are so therapeutic for me, and I hope you find them helpful as well! In this round, I share how I try to calm myself down, reframe my thinking during moments of heavy negativity, how important it is to literally schedule time for yourself and more. Most importantly, I want to mention that I have not mastered these tools yet. These are all things I am working on and striving to hold myself accountable for. I am giving myself love and becoming my biggest advocate, not my worst enemy.
