The godly will never be disturbed,
but the wicked will be removed from the land.

We have all seen and probably used those signs at a hotel that says 'Do Not Disturb'. It is our hope that people will honor that. As a Christ follower, regardless of what happens in our lives, we should live in peace and not be disturbed by the temporary and fleeting issues of life. I know that few have mastered this fully. I certainly have not. In the context of this verse, it is particularly referring to being uprooted from a place of security. When we feel that our life and world is being disrupted is when we need to draw on God’s strength to keep us from being disturbed. In contrast to this thinking are those who are not following God’s precepts and principles for life. They have no foundation for their security and will easily be uprooted from their safe haven.
