Criticize in Private – Daily Wisdom
Welcome to Wisdom-Trek with Gramps. We are on Day 1928 of our Trek, and it’s time to explore another nugget of wisdom, which includes an inspirational quote and some wise words from Gramps for today’s trek. Wisdom is the final frontier in gaining true knowledge. So we are on a daily trek to create a legacy of wisdom, seek out discernment and insights, and boldly grow where few have chosen to grow before.

Hello, my friend; this is Gramps. Thanks for coming along on today’s trek as we increase Wisdom and Create a Living Legacy. https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Proverbs%2016%3A16andversion=NLT (Proverbs 16:16) How much better to get wisdom than gold, and sound judgment than silver! If you apply the words you hear today, over time, it will help you become more healthy, wealthy, and wise as you continue your daily trek of life. So let’s jump right in with today’s nugget:

Today’s quote is from Zig Ziglar, and it is: All instructive or critical feedback must be given in private.
Criticize In Private

There are times when we need to offer constructive criticism or instruction that will help others improve and prosper. However, you should never confront or criticize a person in public; it must be done in private or with one or two additional close associates. The purpose of all such actions is to assist a person in improving or correcting some action or attitude that is not appropriate. When required, it should be handled in a spirit of humility and love and never in a manner that is destructive to that individual. On the opposite side of that coin, when you have the opportunity to present praise and accolades, it should be done in a public setting if possible. Praise and recognition are best handled, so the person receiving it will also have the honor of their peers. In every situation, as much as possible, always build up another, never tear them down.

I solemnly urge you in the presence of God and Christ Jesus, who will someday judge the living and the dead when he comes to set up his Kingdom: Preach the word of God. Be prepared, whether the time is favorable or not. Patiently correct, rebuke, and encourage your people with good teaching.

As you ponder this nugget of wisdom for yourself, please encourage your friends and family to join us and come along tomorrow for another day of ‘Wisdom-Trek, Creating a Legacy.’
