Rise Above – Daily Wisdom
Welcome to Wisdom-Trek with Gramps. We are on Day 1918 of our Trek, and it’s time to explore another nugget of wisdom, which includes an inspirational quote and some wise words from Gramps for today’s trek. Wisdom is the final frontier in gaining true knowledge. So we are on a daily trek to create a legacy of wisdom, seek out discernment and insights, and boldly grow where few have chosen to grow before.

Hello, my friend; this is Gramps. Thanks for coming along on today’s trek as we increase Wisdom and Create a Living Legacy. https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Proverbs%2016%3A16andversion=NLT (Proverbs 16:16) How much better to get wisdom than gold, and sound judgment than silver! If you apply the words you hear today, over time, it will help you become more healthy, wealthy, and wise as you continue your daily trek of life. So let’s jump right in with today’s nugget:

Today’s quote is from Charles Caleb Colton, and it is: All adverse and depressing influences can be overcome, not by fighting, but by rising above them.
Rise Above

My basic nature is positive, and I tend to reframe any negative situation in a positive light. But even I, at times, will struggle with adverse, depressing, and negative situations. When this happens, it is all too easy to allow it to drag us down with it, but that will not help or resolve the issue. Therefore, we don’t need to fight with those who are negative. Instead, rise above the fray and realize that we can do and be better regardless of the situation. As Christ-followers, we should have joy in reflecting on our abundant life. Not everything will be pleasant or without struggle, but there is so much to be thankful for. So instead of being drug down by those who are adverse, rise above and stand tall. Reframe your situation with an eternal perspective. Then even the difficult days will have a ray of paradise in them.

The life of the godly is full of light and joy, but the light of the wicked will be snuffed out.
