Welcome to Wisdom-Trek with Gramps. We are on Day 1860 of our Trek, and it’s time to explore another nugget of wisdom, which includes an inspirational quote along with some wise words from Gramps for today’s trek. Wisdom is the final frontier in gaining true knowledge. So we are on a daily trek to create a legacy of wisdom, seek out discernment and insights, and boldly grow where few have chosen to grow before.

Hello, my friend; this is Gramps. Thanks for coming along on today’s trek as we increase Wisdom and Create a Living Legacy. https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Proverbs%2016%3A16andversion=NLT (Proverbs 16:16) How much better to get wisdom than gold, and sound judgment than silver! If you apply the words you hear today, over time, it will help you become more healthy, wealthy, and wise as you continue your daily trek of life. So let’s jump right in with today’s nugget:

Today’s quote is from Unknown, and it is: A truly happy person is one who can enjoy the scenery on a detour.
Enjoy The Scenery

Prior to thinking that GPS units were a required device in every vehicle, were you ever on a trip where you were completely lost and ended up on some back road? Even with the sophistication of GPS on our phones today, which tracks our speed, location and even warns us of road construction and accidents; we have been detoured on back roads several times to avoid getting stuck in traffic. What is your reaction when either of these scenarios occurs? The best response is to take a deep breath, and enjoy the scenery. Some of the most enjoyable trips have been off the freeways and experiencing the beautiful back roads. There is so much to experience in life when we end up on detours. We must learn in every situation that God is in control and has allowed the detours to happen for a purpose. Enjoy the scenery, count your blessings, and give God the glory for those detours of life.

https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1%20Corinthians%2013%3A11%2D13andversion=NLT (1 Corinthians 13:11-13)

When I was a child, I spoke and thought and reasoned as a child. But when I grew up, I put away childish things. Now we see things imperfectly, like puzzling reflections in a mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely. Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.

As you ponder this nugget of wisdom for yourself, please encourage your friends and family to join us and then come along tomorrow for another day of ‘Wisdom-Trek, Creating a Legacy.’
