Welcome to Wisdom-Trek with Gramps. We are on Day 1850 of our Trek, and it’s time to explore another nugget of wisdom, which includes an inspirational quote along with some wise words from Gramps for today’s trek. Wisdom is the final frontier in gaining true knowledge. So we are on a daily trek to create a legacy of wisdom, seek out discernment and insights, and boldly grow where few have chosen to grow before.

Hello, my friend; this is Gramps. Thanks for coming along on today’s trek as we increase Wisdom and Create a Living Legacy. https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Proverbs%2016%3A16andversion=NLT (Proverbs 16:16) How much better to get wisdom than gold, and sound judgment than silver! If you apply the words you hear today, over time, it will help you become more healthy, wealthy, and wise as you continue your daily trek of life. So let’s jump right in with today’s nugget:

Today’s quote is from David Brinkley, and it is: A successful person is one who can lay a firm foundation with the bricks others have thrown at him.
A Firm Foundation

To be successful in any life endeavor, you must be willing to handle trials and hardships and turn them into advantages. But, unfortunately, many people will give up when criticized by others or when they run into headwinds of any kind. This type of defeatism will stifle forward progress, and that progress will cease altogether before too long. We cannot allow this to happen in our lives. We are created to glorify God, and we cannot do that if we are prone to give up when trials come into our path of success. So when others throw bricks at you and try to thwart your progress, pick the bricks up, but instead of throwing them back, use them to build a strong foundation for success. In Jesus’s parable of servants who wisely invested what they had been entrusted with, he commends those who were faithful with little or much. He did not commend the one who did nothing. So it is with us, God has blessed us with talents and abilities that we should use for Him. Little is much when God is in it.

“The master was full of praise. ‘Well done, my good and faithful servant. You have been faithful in handling this small amount, so now I will give you many more responsibilities. Let’s celebrate together!’
