A Moment Of Patience – Daily Wisdom
Welcome to Wisdom-Trek with Gramps. We are on Day 1803 of our Trek, and it’s time to explore another nugget of wisdom, which includes an inspirational quote along with some wise words from Gramps for today’s trek. Wisdom is the final frontier in gaining true knowledge. We are on a daily trek to create a legacy of wisdom, seek out discernment and insights, and boldly grow where few have chosen to grow before.

Hello, my friend; this is Gramps. Thanks for coming along on today’s trek as we increase Wisdom and Create a Living Legacy. https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Proverbs%2016%3A16andversion=NLT (Proverbs 16:16) How much better to get wisdom than gold, and sound judgment than silver! If you apply the words you hear today, over time, it will help you become more healthy, wealthy, and wise as you continue your daily trek of life. So let’s jump right in with today’s nugget:

Today’s quote is from Unknown, and it is: A moment of patience in a moment of anger saves you a hundred moments of regret.
A Moment of Patience

All too often, regret creeps into our lives when we say the wrong thing at the wrong time. When confronted with something that upsets us or makes us angry, we would do well to pause and take a deep breath before responding. We have to understand a couple of things. First, we need to analyze why we have become angry. Was it something we said or did to offend or hurt the other person? Was it some action that a person may have misunderstood? If either were the case, we certainly need to apologize for the misunderstanding and ensure them that it was not or should not have been our intent. If it wasn’t something you said or did, then realize that the other person may be struggling with some issue that you do not know about and that you just are the recipient of their anger. That anger may not stem from you but from some subject outside your control or knowledge. If that is the case, you still need to be patient with that person. We never know what another person is going through, and we should be willing to give a wide berth of understanding before we respond in kind. These principles will alleviate much regret. As a Christ-follower, we should always be willing to be patient and forgiving, just as God has forgiven us when we sin against him.

Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised.
