Success Brings Contentment – Daily Wisdom
Welcome to Wisdom-Trek with Gramps. We are on Day 1772 of our Trek, and it’s time to explore another nugget of wisdom, which includes an inspirational quote along with some wise words from Gramps for today’s trek. Wisdom is the final frontier in gaining true knowledge. We are on a daily trek to create a legacy of wisdom, seek out discernment and insights, and boldly grow where few have chosen to grow before.

Hello, my friend; this is Gramps. Thanks for coming along on today’s trek as we increase Wisdom and Create a Living Legacy. https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Proverbs%2016%3A16andversion=NLT (Proverbs 16:16) How much better to get wisdom than gold, and sound judgment than silver! If you apply the words you hear today, over time, it will help you become more healthy, wealthy, and wise as you continue your daily trek of life. So let’s jump right in with today’s nugget:

Today’s quote is from Bob Dylan, and it is: A man is a success if he gets up in the morning and gets to bed at night, and in between, he does what he wants to do.
Success Brings Contentment

There are many measures of success, but one of the most valid measures of a successful and content person is someone who loves what they do from the time they wake up in the morning until they lay down to sleep at night. This person may not be financially wealthy or well known, but having enough to take care of themselves and their families, they are satisfied with life. So many people are always chasing that elusive rainbow where the grass is always greener. Even if they do become rich and famous, they are always grasping for more. That is not success, but slavery to materialism, vanity, and pride. We need to work towards being a person of integrity and conviction. A person who cares for their family and others will find enjoyment and satisfaction at the end of any day.

How I praise the Lord that you are concerned about me again. I know you have always been concerned for me, but you didn’t have the chance to help me. 11 Not that I was ever in need, for I have learned how to be content with whatever I have. I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little.

As you ponder this nugget of wisdom for yourself, please encourage your friends and family to join us and then come along tomorrow for another day of ‘Wisdom-Trek, Creating a Legacy.’
