Welcome to Day 1720 of our Wisdom-Trek, and thank you for joining me.This is Guthrie Chamberlain, Your Guide to WisdomA Great Accomplishment – Daily WisdomWelcome to Wisdom-Trek with Gramps. We are on Day 1720 of our Trek, and it’s time to explore another nugget of wisdom, which includes an inspirational quote along with some wise words from Gramps for today’s trek. Wisdom is the final frontier in gaining true knowledge. We are on a daily trek to create a legacy of wisdom, seek out discernment and insights, and boldly grow where few have chosen to grow before.
Hello, my friend; this is Gramps. Thanks for coming along on today’s trek as we increase Wisdom and Create a Living Legacy. https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Proverbs%2016%3A16andversion=NLT (Proverbs 16:16) How much better to get wisdom than gold, and sound judgment than silver! If you apply the words you hear today, over time, it will help you become more healthy, wealthy, and wise as you continue your daily trek of life. So let’s jump right in with today’s nugget:
Today’s quote is from Walter Gagehot, and it is: A great pleasure in life is doing what people say you cannot do.
A Great Accomplishment
Most people love to cheer for the underdog, for those who overcome all odds to achieve something great. It brings us pleasure and satisfaction. I don’t know about you, but if I desire to accomplish some grand plan or goal when someone tells me that I cannot, it only spurs me to try even harder. It becomes a motivating factor in our ability to conquer and win. We need that extra challenge that creates more internal drive. It reminds me of children confronted with a dare, a double dare, or even a double-dog dare (whatever that means). It is a challenge that is difficult to pass up, so we become more confident than ever about our ability to achieve. When confronted with opposition to your plans, check your motive, but then push on to become all that God intended you to be based on your God-given talents and abilities. Don’t let anyone rain on your parade or discourage you. It may be their insecurities coming out or that they do not want to see you succeed. Keep moving forward and let God give the victory.

https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Isaiah+41%3A10-12andversion=NLT (Isaiah 41:10-12)
Don’t be afraid, for I am with you.
Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you.
I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.
“See, all your angry enemies lie there,
confused and humiliated.
Anyone who opposes you will die
and come to nothing.
You will look in vain
for those who tried to conquer you.
Those who attack you
will come to nothing.
