E61: Wisdom from Running with Aileen McKeown

Published: Nov. 1, 2021, 10 a.m.

Thank you for listening, friends! We've got a fun episode today with my friend and fellow trail runner, Aileen. Aileen has completed several epic adventures in the mountains, from crushing local peaks to solo explorations of Moab, Utah to finishing as second-place female and 16th overall at the 2020 Orcas Island 100 mile ultramarathon in torrential rain. She's written great articles for the Trail Sisters community that can be found here: https://trailsisters.net/author/aileenmckeown/

We have a wide-ranging conversation about outdoor adventuring, taking solo road trips, the new frontier of raising a puppy and what got her into running just four short years ago. Aileen reminds us that there are so many things to be grateful for, that time outdoors is self-care, and just how far our own legs can take us. Enjoy!
