E58: Reality... with Realist Idealist

Published: Oct. 11, 2021, 10 a.m.

Thank you for listening today, friends. It's a special episode, the first in a new series of Real Conversations with my good friend, host of Realist Idealist podcast.

Today's discussion is about the concept of reality: we explore several different related topics while eschewing others for another time and episode. It's very interesting to note what our discussion centers on when we encounter unexplained audio difficulties. We cover some of the limits of language in the context of neuro-linguistic programming, whether reality or truth is objective or subjective, the role of perspective, how thoughts can create "realities" and more. It was a fun episode to record, and I'm excited for this new feature.

Remember, you are the ultimate arbiter of your life experience, deciding which steps to take for yourself. If you're drawn to investigate some of these topics in further depth, there are numerous resources available in print and online: you can use your own discernment to decide which resonate and which are out of alignment.

As promised in the recording, here are a list of links to areas we explore:

What thoughts serve you best?

Serena Dyer on Luke Storey's The Life Stylist Podcast episode 366

Wayne Dyer quotes: "When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change." "You'll see it when you believe it."

NLP is Neuro-Linguistic Programming, a fascinating field of study. Natasha Althoff of Fearless Riding Success and Damon Cart of Life Mastery Gym are two sources Realist Idealist has studied with.
