As with all Scripture content, the historical account of David and Goliath is pregnant with meaning that is deeper and wider than any of us could ever know in this lifetime. Yet, if we desire to truly understand as much as possible about God's purposes and plans, His mind and point-of-view, we are commanded to plumb the depths of Scripture to find the pearls of truth and gain wisdom.

Join us as we continue discussing the transition in the monarchy from Saul to David and his confrontation with the giant of the Nephilim race, Goliath of Gath.

By the way, did you know that Goliath had brothers?  One of them, also mentioned in Scripture, had six fingers on each hand and was just about as huge, was eliminated later in the narrative: II Sa 21:19  And there was again a battle in Gob with the Philistines, where Elhanan the son of Jaareoregim, a Bethlehemite, slew the brother of Goliath the Gittite, the staff of whose spear was like a weaver's beam.

Just why do the fallen angels even do this genetic chicanery? Why does God even allow these non-humans to come upon the earth at all? Are they among us now? What role did and do they play? Do they factor in at the very end of this age, the time we are in?
