Continue with us as we observe Joshua readying the Israelites to begin taking possession of the land. The odds were stacked against them succeeding because God ensured that all of their soldiers were made to fall in the wilderness before entering the Land. Now, even without an army, the people are commanded to still be strong and courageous - and take the land.

The city of Jericho was tightly shut up because of the Israelites. No one went out and no one came in. Then the LORD said to Joshua, "See, I have delivered Jericho into your hands, along with its king and its fighting men". Okay, but what is the battle plan?

The LORD continued, "March around the city once with all the armed men. Do this for six days. Have seven priests carry trumpets of rams\' horns in front of the Ark Of The Covenant. On the seventh day, march around the city seven times, with the priests blowing the trumpets. When you hear them sound a long blast on the trumpets, have all the people give a loud shout; then the wall of the city will collapse and the people will go up, every man straight in."

What kind of a battle plan is this?! No invasion? No massacre?  Yet, predicting complete and utter victory.
