This place is described by God as the beautiful land that flows with milk and honey. We know from the Scriptural account that it produced abundant food to support the population of giants already dwelling there.

So, what about this land? How do we reconcile what we see as an arid desert land, with what God said was the state of this land ? Would God give His people an inheritance of barren desert?
