As Moses meets with God on Mount Sinai, In addition to the two tablets of the Law of the covenant, God gives him a very specific set of instructions for a portable sanctuary called the Tabernacle. God's begins to act on His desire to dwell among His own, covenant people.

Other than the exodus and the giving of the Law, one of the most important accounts in the book of Exodus is the construction of the Tabernacle.  God ensured that the detail of its design and construction was preserved for us here.
