Join us as the class begins our study of the book of Lamentations. Where Jeremiah leaves off in the book of Jeremiah, he picks-up in this book, the book of Lamentations. It was written in the acrostic poetic form, and outwardly mourns the destruction of Jerusalem in 586 B.C. and the captivity of the Jews.

After delivering the most unwelcome message ever delivered to his people, and after being persecuted for it, Jeremiah writes again here out of extreme, heart-wrenching sorrow when what God prophesied through him had all taken place and been fulfilled.
