Scripture has made clear in many other places that we should work to keep our name \\u2013 our personal reputation \\u2013 in this life spotless. For Christians who are the Lord\\u2019s property and profess His name, how we carry ourselves in In this world directly reflects our God\\u2019s reputation.

Man\\u2019s wrong conclusions and philosophies in his ignorance, without God\\u2019s word in His heart are then guided by his own ignorance, prejudices and false premises. This too plays a very large role in how our "name" is perceived. It is a big part of the reputation we build for ourselves among men.

\\n

Solomon finds that Keeping a good name is like \\u2013 or even better than - a precious ointment. With such a comparison given, let\\u2019s allow the writings of the Ecclesiastes to help us really understand the meaning of a high moral character and the correct philosophical point of view in context of God\'s desire for those He designed and made to carry His image on the earth...
