Deuteronomy: Israel is Prepared To Cross Over, Conquer and Possess The Land
Continue in Deuteronomy with us as we learn more about the strategy for the people to take the land. Moses instructed: "The LORD your God has given you this land to take possession of it. But all your able-bodied men, armed for battle, must cross over ahead of your brother Israelites".
As Moses prepares the people to take and enter Canaan, Moses is told by God to look at the land with only his eyes, since he is not going to cross the Jordan. He now commissions Joshua and is instructed also to encourage and strengthen him, for God chose Joshua to lead His people now. Joshua will cross and will cause them to inherit the land that Moses will only see.
