This is Dr. MaryAnn Diorio, novelist and life coach, welcoming you to another episode of Winning with the Word. Today is Monday, April 18, 2022, and this is Episode #16 of Series 2022. This episode is titled "Heaven or Hell? Your Choice." Perhaps no time in history has been as crazy as our time. Never before in human history have large numbers of people not known the difference between a man and a woman. Never before in human history have we encouraged perverse sexual activity among our children. Never before in human history have we, as a nation, so brazenly exalted evil.  If we think that we will get away with this, we are sorely mistaken.  While God is certainly merciful, He is also just. And those who do not repent of their sin will, eventually, experience His justice that will come in the form of His fierce wrath. To those who think they can continue in their sin, the Bible gives this warning in Galatians 6: 7 AMP: "Do not be deceived. God is not mocked [He will not allow Himself to be ridiculed, nor treated with contempt nor allow His precepts to be scornfully set aside]; for whatever a man sows, this and this only is what he will reap." Are you willing to take the risk of mocking God? Of making Him out to be a fool Who looks the other way at your sin? Of thinking you will escape His punishment because He hasn't punished you so far? Think again, my friend. You are treading on dangerous ground that soon will sink beneath your feet, open up, and  figuratively, if not literally, swallow you whole. You think it can't happen? Then read the account of Korah in the Book of Numbers, chapter 16, verses 1-40. Korah was the infamous man who was swallowed alive, with his entire family, when he rebelled against Moses in the wilderness. If God did not spare Korah and his family in their rebellion, why do you think he will spare you? Sin is serious business in God's eyes. And it should be in yours as well. If you are in rebellion against God and His Word, repent now and ask God to forgive you. When you do, He will show you His other side: His mercy side. More than anything, God wants to show you His merciful side. But He cannot do so unless and until you acknowledge your sin, repent of it, and ask His forgiveness. So, why not do that now? What are you waiting for? Remember, if you don't acknowledge your sin and repent of it, you will experience God's justice and wrath. In practical terms, this means you will go to Hell when you die. But, if you acknowledge your sin, repent of it, and ask God to forgive you, you will experience God's mercy and grace. In practical terms, this means you will go to Heaven when you die.  So, my friend, what is your choice? Heaven or Hell? Mercy or Justice? Grace or Wrath? The choice is yours. You can make that choice right now by praying with me. Just repeat after me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I am a sinner. I acknowledge my sin before You. I recognize that my sin put You on that Cross where You died for me. I repent of my sin, and I ask You to forgive me. I invite You into my life now.
